When I started working in the professional area for myself and as an assistant to other photographers in the late 80ies there were no adequate computers for photography on the mass market.I have learned photography from scratch by myself, I ’ve used nearly all kind of cameras, small, medium, large format. And nearly all kind of studio and location flash.Everything was chemically engineered.
In those the days only few people could see and professionally edit the shots the same day(or moment) they took them…… The camera I loved most was my Rollei SL66, I sold all my camera/studio light/photo lab in the mid 90ies and started working in the computer area for many years. But the day I sold the SL66 I said to myself:
“The day will come when I start photography again”,
and that day is today….. Nowadays we do not need polaroid for test shoots, our digital cameras are fully computers incl. photolab, so most of the time I shoot -out of the cam- and extremely rarely need after shoot tools like photoshop.
